Thanksgiving in Suwanee - November 2021

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving in our new home in Suwanee. We were so excited to have Lydia home for it, and to have the Mitchells in town to visit us. It was so nice of all of them to make the trip out here. We mostly enjoyed time around the house, playing games, making food, and visiting, but we also had a few adventures. We played a Thanksgiving morning soccer game with our closest district of missionaries, some ward members, and some friends the missionaries are teaching. It was a lot of fun, and there are a lot of good soccer players in this group! I was super sore the next few days. We also went to a german market in Atlanta, and explored the nearby area one day. It was over way too fast, and we were sad to see everyone go. We felt like our buckets had been filled, though, and were reminded of how the best way to find joy is to focus on gratitude and looking outside of ourselves. We were all prepared and looking forward to having some missionaries for Thanksgiving dinner, but the members here are all so generous that we didn't have a single missionary who didn't have an invitation to a home for Thanksgiving dinner. What great people!

Welcome, Mitchells!!
